Inspired by Adolf Loos Goldman and Salatsch building in Vienna, the design for this new flagship store is a hybrid of the 1930’s Art-Deco mannerism and the deconstructive formalism of the contemporary architecture. The resulting façade rejects historical pastiche while respecting historical references, offering a new mediation for the non-historic building in a historically protected district.
